HISTORY
On September 8, 1958, Piet van der Sande started the company Technische Industrie VDS in the neighboring village of Reusel, specializing in the processing of thin sheet metal work with fully automatic presses. The company also developed expertise in toolmaking.
On February 10, 1981, Technische Industrie VDS, which was in financial distress, was taken over, together with its 70 employees, by Metaalwarenfabriek Van der Leegte b.v. This made VDL VDS Technische Industrie one of the first companies to be taken over by the VDL Group, which at the time consisted of 42 employees. With the acquisition, VDL Group added a fully-fledged tools shop, a specialist in sheet metal production with fully automatic presses, and an arsenal of new customers to its operations.
Many of the customers from the early days are still customers today. Under the banner of VDL Group, VDL VDS has developed into an internationally operating and recognized production company.

VDL VDS offers every employee an individual development plan. The necessary knowledge and expertise are acquired through personal (internal) training and courses. Knowledge transfer on the job is essential. Every department at VDL VDS has a balanced mix of young and experienced employees. OUR EXPERTISE
Is specialized in processing all types of sheet metal into the desired (end) product. The services include the production of products consisting of solely metal (single products) or products with additional components, such as fittings, inserts, wire forms, other metal parts, and/or plastic components (combined products).
Our in-house toolshop takes care of the design, assembly, and maintenance of the necessary production tooling. This makes VDL VDS an expert in the process from design to serial production.
Our expertise ranges from the production of medium to large series, varying from simple to complex products. Through continuous investment in automation, robotization, and the latest equipment, we guarantee the highest quality at the best price.
